The L-rd woke me up in the middle of Hurricane Isaac, about 3 AM. He told me to write down this message. Those who know me well know that I tend to give a Word in a most gentle way; however, this message came with a firm call to warn. If I may take the liberty in saying so, this message is not coming from the Lamb; this is from the Lion.

The L-rd says Repent and Turn from your wicked ways. Come out from the pagan practices of the world.  It doesn’t get any more direct than that. The L-rd’s return is knocking at the door. The time is at hand. He is pressing in and crushing the grapes, bringing forth wine, and crushing the olives and bringing forth oil. The Body of Believers is being divided between those who hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, seek His face, and obey His commands, and those who have strayed away with itchy ears to hear and do those things that sooth the flesh.

The L-rd’s Word is true. It is holy, perfect, and good (2 Timothy 3:16). It is not politically correct. It is not tolerant of sin. Scripture tells us not to take part in those things that are an abomination to the L-rd, lest we get caught up in it. Neither are we to call evil good and good evil (Isaiah 5:20). Sin is sin and we need to call it what it is. The L-rd clearly defines sin in His Torah.

As Believers, we are called to be set apart. This is what it means to be holy. The Word says be holy even as your Father in Heaven is holy (1 Peter 1:15-16). The line is being drawn. We are either hot and sold out for the L-rd, or we are lukewarm and dabbling in sin. The L-rd says He’d rather us be hot or cold than lukewarm, because He will vomit us out (Revelation 3:16)!

We are G-d’s children. We are called to be righteous in Yeshua and to be one in Him , even as the Father and the Son are One (John 17:21). We need to return to G-d, take a stand, reconcile with our brothers, and be a beacon of light to the lost. We live in this world but we are not of this world (John 15:19).

If we seek to please mankind in sin and go after the things of the world, we will receive an earthly reward. We may be well liked, but it will be short lived. In this, there is no true peace. That reward will burn in fire. It will not stand the test of what is holy and good before the Living G-d come Judgment Day (2 Peter 3:10).

We can walk on earth and fool ourselves of the good life we have by putting G-d on a shelf for use as needed all the while walking with the world. But we can’t fool G-d. He knows whether He is first in our life. He knows the true inclinations of our heart.  We can play with sin, but G-d sees it all. We can serve ourselves, serve our pride and greed, give in to the desires of our flesh, and think we are getting away with much. But in the end, the L-rd will have us give an account for every idle word and every deed (Matthew 12:36). What excuse will we have when He knows all? When He knows us better than we know ourselves?

Where is our trust in truth? By what standard do we hold ourselves? “Oh,”we say, “These are modern times. Religion is for the weekend, Saturday or Sunday. We have to live in these days. The world has changed.”

Dear brother and sister, the L-rd does NOT change. His Word stands today the same as yesterday and forever. There is nothing new under the sun. G-d has seen and heard it all.

The L-rd’s Word is living. It is our compass for righteous living, in moral conduct and justice. There is no division. The kings of the lands are to live by the instruction of His Law just as the citizens are to live by His Law. We are all to live in righteousness through faith in Yeshua (Jesus) and walk in obedience because of our love for the one true G-d, Creator of this Universe.

The L-rd has called us to come clean and to stop compartmentalizing our lives. We say, “Well, the L-rd can come into this area of my life, but not this one. The L-rd can come to my rescue in this situation, but over here, I can handle it myself.”

No! No! No! G-d is not a toy that we can pull out and play with when we need some entertainment, some consolation, or a feel good moment. G-d is the Holy G-d deserving of our full reverence and a reverence with fear.

Sure G-d is love. He is pure, unconditional love. And through His love, He is not willing that any one should perish in their sin and be separated from Him (2 Peter 3: 9). BUT, He is holy which means He cannot love sin nor be in the presence of sin. He is fair and gives us a free will to choose Him or the ways of the world. Whether we are a born again Believer or have yet to come to know Him, He loves us, but He hates the sinful behavior that separates us from Him and goes against His Word.  Sin for the Believer and the non-Believer has consequences.

Sin takes our focus off G-d, and puts focus on ourselves. A wall is built inhibiting interaction with the Holy Spirit. It is ultimately destructive to us and its penalty is death. Without Yeshua, that is eternal death. As a Believer, we may say, “Well I am still alive; I’m not dying.”

I’ll remind you of what’s dying when nothing appears to be dying. When we step away from G-d’s way, the blessings G-d intended for us in that season are dropping dead to the ground. And He has the best treasures stored up for us that we could ever desire, but we miss them.

We may have a sense of pleasure in sin, but it is false. Sin places things out of order and creates a rippling effect on others. Not only does it separate us from the Holy G-d and take us out of His protective care, but it likewise destroys our testimony before others.  It breaks community, causes division, and brings pain.

When we sin, we allow the devil, the father of all lies, to influence us away from the righteousness we have in Yeshua. The enemy of our souls knows his time is short on earth, and he is the destroyer of everything that is good. He wants to steal our joy, ruin our testimony, dim our light, and send our lost friends, neighbors, and relatives in the world to eternal death.

We are no good to a lost and dying world until we get ourselves straight and jump back on board with the L-rd. This calls for repentance, a good dose of humility, and getting on our knees to pray.

Where is our faith? Where is our trust? Are we listening to the news on TV? Shut it off. It’s a bunch of worldly, twisted garbage feeding our brains with lies. There is a world agenda and it has nothing to do with living a godly life. Nothing.

Are we agreeing with the opinions of people with whom we come in contact, specifically those who do not walk hand and hand with our Father? Are we going with the flow so as to not make waves? Are we listening to Believers on fences, who are not IN the word? Are we allowing those influences to become part of us, living the good life of tolerance and being well liked in our diplomatic way or our politically correct view?

We need to ask ourselves, how is my behavior going to hold up when I stand before the Father in Heaven? The Holy G-d of Israel? What will we say? “Well, my mom and dad told me this was okay; well, my pastor or rabbi never preached about that; well, my friend always gave me good advice; everybody trusts the news and media.”

Can we smell the smoke? The L-rd is not buying it. We have Bibles in your homes. We have Bibles in hotel rooms, doctors’ offices, and libraries. We have access to Bibles online. We are blessed to have access to His Word, His truth, His instructions in righteousness. No one in the United States of America is banging on our doors and asking for us to give up our Bible, at least not in the last twenty minutes. But, it’s coming. That’s the message. It’s coming. WE ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE to walk in boldness of faith NOW.

Wake up, the L-rd says. Wake up and stand firm, you who call yourselves Believers. The L-rd is shaking things up all around the world. The time is at hand. The L-rd’s return is imminent. It is time for us to be the salt and the light to this dying world. The truth saves, not watered down half truths. Let us lead our brethren down the right path, the narrow path, the one that does not lead to destruction and death.

It’s time to be the John the Immerser (Baptist) and boldly exhort the truth. The truth shall set us free. Yeshua wasn’t politically correct. He was G-D correct. Yeshua didn’t let anyone push Him around. He spoke with authority and it is the same authority He passed to us to speak through His Spirit.

The L-rd came that we might know His salvation. He came as the Lamb. But, now HE is returning and He is the LION of JUDAH. He is coming as KING with a sword in His mouth. His Mighty roar will be heard throughout the heavens. He is King of kings and L-rd of l-rds. Make no mistake. His name is not Buddha or Mohamed or Allah the moon god, or any other little god. He is a jealous G-d. He is the GREAT I AM. He is YHVH (yod, hey, vav, hey) HaShem, the Name, too holy to pronounce.

The L-rd will judge the living and dead. Everyone will stand before Him. And upon what will we stand? solid faith? the rock of our salvation, Yeshua? Or will we stand on the lies of the world, the half truths, or our new age gospel for modern times? I hear the L-rd’s stomach rumbling with vomit.

No one is going to save us, except faith in the L-rd, Yeshua. No philosophy, no religion, no claim to ignorance. Let those who have ears to hear, hear. We have heard the truth. The L-rd Yeshua says in John 14:6, “I AM the way, the TRUTH, and the LIFE, no one comes to the Father except by Me.”

There is no time for wandering and wavering on fences, Believers. There is no time for honeydew sermons, rabbis and pastors. We are accountable for ourselves and those to whom G-d has put on our path. Are we leading people astray? How’s our walk? How’s our testimony?

We are Called Out Ones. We are the Assembly of G-d, the Body of Messiah. We are not people pleasers. We are G-D  pleasers. We are victorious in Him. We are righteous in Him. We persevere. We overcome. We stand strong in faith. We resist the devil. We are holy and set apart. The kingdom of G-D is in us. We speak with authority through His Spirit. Amen?

I’m going to close with these scripture verses. We’re not done yet. I have eight passages here. Eight is the number of dedication and some of us need to rededicate our lives to the L-rd to get back on track.

I’m not going to spend a lot of time on these. We’ll let the word speak for itself. Let’s look at Matthew 10: 32-33 first.

This is Yeshua speaking. He says, Whoever therefore, that confesses me before the sons of men, he also I (will confess) before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies me before the sons of men, he will I also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Now, let’s go to Matthew 16:24-26. Then Yeshua said to His disciples, He who wishes to follow after me, let him deny himself and take up his staff and follow after me. He who desires to save his life, will lose it.  And he who loses his life for my sake, will find it. For what does it profit a man if he gains all the world, and loses his soul?

A side note to this verse, I am quoting from the Aramaic English New Testament. We want to use the Aramaic, a sister language to Hebrew, so we get the closer meaning the author intended, otherwise, we can say, “It all sounds Greek to me.” The word staff in the verse represents authority. It can be read take up your authority and follow Yeshua. That authority of course comes by G-d’s Spirit indwelling in us.

The next Scripture is Matthew 7:14. How narrow the door and straight the road that leads to life, and few are they, those that find it.

Let’s jump down to verse 21-23 – still in chapter seven. It will not be that just anyone who says to me “My Master, my Master!” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven , but whoever does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, My Master, my Master! By your name, have we not prophesied? And by your name have we cast out demons? And by your name have we done miracles? And then I will profess to them from everlasting, I have not known you Depart from me, you workers of iniquity [lawlessness].

Now, let’s go to Philippians 1:20-21. This is Rav Sha’ul, Paul, speaking to the elders and assembly in Philippi. We learn many good things from his walk in faith. He says starting in verse 20, So that I hope and expect that I will in nothing be put to shame; but with uncovered face as at all times, so now, the Messiah will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For my life is the Messiah; and if I die, it is gain to me.

Let’s move on to Galatians 2:20. And I am executed on the stake with Messiah, so it is not I that live but Messiah lives in me; and the life I live now in the flesh in faith of the Son of Elohim who loves me and give his life/soul for me.

Now on to the last book of the Bible, Revelation. Chapter 12, verses 11-12 read, And they overcame him [the accuser], because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony: and they loved not their own lives, even to death. Therefore be joyful, O heaven and you that dwell there. Woe to the earth, and to the sea; for the Deceiver has come down to you, being in great wrath since he knows that his time is short.

And our closing verse is this. Revelation 14:12. Here is the patience of the Set Apart Believers who keep the commandments of Elohim [G-d], and the faith of Yeshua.

Clearly Scripture teaches us we are to be Set Apart, holy unto our Father. We are to be sold out, denying ourselves, to live for Him… even unto death.

How is our walk? Is it in Him, living for His Kingdom? Is the light turned on in the house? I pray so. Let him who has ears hear the word of the L-rd and do as He commands. Amen.

Peace to you. Shalom!
