Beit Chesed

Ofra Haza - Jerusalem of gold.mp3

Pray for shalom in Jerusalem; may those who love you prosper.

May shalom be within your ramparts, prosperity in your palaces.

For the sake of my family and friends, I say, "Shalom be within you!"

For the sake of the house of ADONAI our G-d, I will seek your well-being.

Psalm 122:6-9

Author David Negley, a former leader in the Coalition of Torah Observant Messianic Congregations, has through many years of dedicated study produced the first of what was to be a series of commentaries. David is no longer with us, but his memory will live on with us and is indeed a blessing to many.

In his book, "Ephesians,The View from the Mishkan," he begins with a historical review that brings the reader to understand the background and cultural setting of Rav Shaul's letter. The book then flows conversationally chapter by chapter as he unravels verses that have been passed over, taken out of context, or otherwise the source of many lively discussions.

In a climate where there are many questions as to what the Messianic Jewish Community should look like and how it should function, this commentary on Ephesians is a timely release. Through extensive research, David gives a clear explanation of HaShem's design of the Messianic Kingdom which includes Jews and Gentiles walking as "One Community."

This book placed in the hands of rabbim and pastors could very well be the catalyst to draw all Believers back to The Way of a  First Century Messianic Jewish Community. The book is written in an easy to follow format for the young and old, the seasoned and new Believer. It is sure to be a valuable resource that will be referenced over and over again.

We are pleased to be able to recommend this book which we can endorse without reservation. Hard copies and electronic copies are available on
